Blackburn with Darwen Council is to hike the payments from £177.33 to £247.85 in a bid to reduce a decline in families agreeing to the arrangement.
The opening of the road is the end of a ten year project, with initial planning beginning in 2015.Volunteers are being recruited into a two-year study exploring the impact of head injuries on the developing brains of 11 to 18-year-olds.
Researchers at the University of Oxford will use cutting-edge MRI scans to uncover why some children have worse outcomes than others after suffering a head injury during sport. The advanced imaging techniques will help identify key signs of brain damage that might be missed by a standard CT scan.Scientists believe it will enable doctors, parents and coaches to predict how well a child will recover after a head injury.
Each year, 1.4 million people attend emergency departments in England and Wales with a recent head injury.Between 33% and 50% of these
"The problem at the moment is that when a young person has had a head injury some recover really well and are back to normal within days to weeks," said Izabelle Lovgren, a doctoral student and one of the trial's researchers.
"However, a substantial proportion do end up with long-lasting problems such as impaired mental health, difficulties in concentrating and learning new things and also challenges with activity participation."The panel heard allegations Mr Davies referred to a colleague as "the sexy one" and that Supt Davies was overheard talking about the "shapely figures" of female staff.
On Tuesday, the officer accepted he "made inappropriate comments from time to time".Asked about allegations he compared female colleagues to luxury cars such as Rolls Royce, Supt Davies told the panel this was based on "quality and reliability", adding "I don't see a Rolls Royce car as something sexual".
On Monday, Supt Davies told the panel he wanted to be a police officer "from a young age", joining the force in 2002 and getting promoted to superintendent in 2019.He said he was "devastated" to be served misconduct papers in 2022, causing him to become "emotionally unstable" and leading to the breakdown of his marriage.
